KindLook Beauty Box Review

9.19.2018

Hi lovelies, I can't believe summer is almost officially over and the leaves are beginning to change and turn into the season that is Autumn. Don't get me wrong, I love Autumn (especially halloween!), but I'm not a fan of all the cold weather we're going to get with it. I'm much more fond of summer nights and spending days at the beach, but I'm going to embrace Autumn as much as I can this year by keeping up to date with festive content for you and spending my days being my most creative self by baking all the pumpkin spiced goods, creating art and continue writing on all my big projects I have planned. Anyways, enough with my rant that rolls round every time the seasons change.. and on with todays post.

I recently reached out to KindLook beauty, a cruelty free beauty subscription box full of skincare and makeup bits from brands big and small. I had heard about their subscription boxes on Instagram and grew curious, so I contacted them and they were kind enough to gift me one of their boxes to share with you all.

When I received the box a few days later, my eyes instantly drew to the raw cacao face mask. I couldn't wait to plan a pamper evening to use all of my favourite skincare products and experiment with the goodies in this box.

Thesis Raw Cacao Face Mask -
As I mentioned above, I was instantly drew to this product and I couldn't wait to try it out. I'd never owned a face mask powder before, so I was certainly intrigued! I won't lie, the scent wasn't my favourite, but it doesn't stop this from being a great product. I mixed one teaspoon of the powder with a teaspoon of water to create a paste and although I did find it hard to create a normal face mask consistency and it was quite a messy application, I did find that my skin felt amazing after I washed the mask off. I also noticed how my makeup applied so much better after using this and it really helped remove any blackheads on my nose. I would definitely recommend this face mask to anyone wanting to try something new and it also lasts for such a long time which is a bonus!

CHOBS Serum -
I don't always use serum as I have combination skin, so don't always need oily products to help my skin feel better. However I was impressed with this product. I used to use the Estee Lauder serum which is in a very similar bottle to this one, and I loved it! However, I would continue to use this one as I honestly haven't noticed much of a difference between the two and there is quite a difference in price. I also have really sensitive skin and I have found that this has made my skin feel lovely without any irritation.

P'URE Papaya Lips -
I have not stopped using this lip balm since owning it, I'm obsessed! I love the subtle scent of papaya and the consistency of the balm as it isn't too sticky. I suffer with dry lips especially in the colder months, so I'm constantly applying lip balm, but this is definitely one of my favourites and will be a brand that I continue to purchase from. I always apply this at night and wake up with soft, hydrated lips. I couldn't be more happier with a lip product.

Zao Nail Varnish -
Not going to lie, I very rarely paint my nails. I mean I'm talking maybe once every Christmas or special occasion, but that's it. I really don't have much to say about this nail product as it's not something I would use enough and honestly isn't a colour I would choose anyway as it's a purple/gold shimmery shade and I would opt for something more neutral. I'll probably give this to one of my sisters as they're bound to get more use out of it than I will.

Flawless Eye Brush -
I own many many eye brushes, so I was happy to have a new addition to the collection. The bristles are lovely and soft and I'll definitely get a lot of use out of it as it blends all my eye makeup so well. I usually use this alongside my Tarte brushes and it's perfect!

Have you tried KindLook Beauty Boxes?

Love Always,
