My Favourite Berry Lip Products For Autumn

10.22.2018

Since Autumn is one of the best seasons to get creative with events like halloween coming up, it's the perfect excuse to experiment with different makeup looks until you find the one. But even just day to day looks can be made fun because all the darker shades of lipsticks come out to play and it's so exciting trying out new eye looks that go well with all the different shades of lipsticks. I'll admit, nude shades are always my go to as they are what I'm most confident with wearing, but sometimes it is nice to be able to choose one of my favourite berry shades and wear it on occasion. I definitely want to start getting more confident with wearing different lipsticks as I love the makeup looks that some of my favourite bloggers / youtubers create, so I thought I'd share a few of the different shades that I'm going to be wearing this season.

Bourjois Velvet Lipstick in "Brunette" -
I know that this is going to be shade that I use the most out of the three Bourjois velvet lipsticks as it's more brown than berry so it's something I know I'll be more confident wearing, although it has a slight hint of red so it's a little bit different. I love how all of these lipsticks are so soft and don't feel dry on the lips at all. They're such beautiful shades that are perfect for autumn and winter and also last for a reasonably long time, so I recommend these a lot for those who are looking for new lip products for this time of year.

Bourjois Velvet Lipstick in "Berry Formidable" -
This lipstick is the ultimate autumn lipstick. It's the perfect mix of berry tones with a slight pink tint, but not enough to really notice. I think this lipstick could make any outfit or makeup look autumnal.

Bourjois Velvet Lipstick in "Magni-fig" -
I'm trying to convince myself to wear this shade more this year as I don't think I wore it at all last year. It's such a pretty colour, but because it's so pink I'm a bit nervous to wear it as I don't believe it will suit me at all. However, if you are more confident with any kind of lip colour or love pinks, then you're bound to fall in love with this one.

Sleek Matte Me Liquid Lip in "Birthday Suit" -
I absolutely adore this liquid lip. Although I have to admit it's not the most hydrating, it really is a beautiful shade that I've got a lot of use out of. It's more of a darker nude than it is berry, but I thought I'd add it to this post as it's too stunning to miss out on talking about. I tend to wear this a lot throughout the year, but mainly during autumn and winter as that's when my makeup is a bit darker than usual, yet still natural as I'm not brave enough to try and pull off anything too dramatic or dark.

Sleek Matte Me Liquid Lip in "Velvet Slipper" -
Liquid lips are definitely one of my favourite types of lip products as they're so easy to apply and I feel like they just feel nicer on the lips than most lipsticks that I've owned. This shade is a lot darker than Birthday Suit, but I still get a lot of use out of it in the colder months as it's just so stunning. The shade has a slight plum tint to it, but I feel like anyone could pull off this shade with any outfit as it could be used as an every day type of lip product.

Lord and Berry Crayon Lipstick -
I couldn't find a name for this crayon lipstick, but I love it so much. This shade is a lot similar to the birthday suit liquid lip as it is more of a plum sort of colour, but with a different feel on the lips. I feel like the application of this can't go wrong as it's so easy to apply without being messy at all. I definitely think I'm going to be purchasing more crayon lipsticks like this as I love how they don't feel dry on the lips at all.

What's your favourite berry lip product?

Love Always,

  2. I wish I was confident wearing darker lip colours, as I just tend to stick to nudes too. These all look so pretty though, I love the sound of Brunette xx
