2019 Goals & Exciting Things To Come

1.19.2019

Welcome back to the blog.

It's been a while since I've posted and it's no surprise just how much I've missed it. Since I started my blog in 2014 I have always made it my goal to become more consistent and have a routine with a posting shedule, but at the same time I've always wanted to look at blogging as something that happens in the moment when an idea comes to mind and I just can't wait to write it all down - I don't want to lose that excitement by setting myself times and dates to get my writing done. It's a bittersweet feeling with blogging for me, I love it so much, but the pressure that comes with it can take away the fun sometimes, not to mention how sad it can be comparing your writing to others. Which is why I decided to take a short break.

My last upload was mid November, just a few days before my birthday. Wow that feels like a lifetime ago already. However, since then other than celebrating my birthday, it was of course, the lead up to Christmas. I always find that November and December are the busiest months of the year as there are so many birthdays to celebrate, a bunch of Christmas shopping to get done, spending time with loved ones, family events and New Years. I've been wanting to write something for you between now and the previous time I posted, but I feel like I just got swept up in everything and lost sight in my love for blogging for a while.

During my time away I've been working on some exciting things to improve my life in general and really try to make something of myself. I don't want to give too much away as I want to be able to write about everything as it comes along, but for now I want to announce that I will be opening my very own Etsy shop within the upcoming weeks! It's been something I've been wanting to do for so so long now and as cheesy as this may sound, being a creative person, it seems like the perfect way to try and share my art with the world. I absolutely love art and everything that it is, every aspect of it and I always have, so to try and share my love for it with everyone with my own pieces makes me feel so excited!

My Etsy shop will be aimed towards children and nurseries with fun animal wall art prints, so if you're an expecting mum or a mum to a small bubba already, I would love it if you could support my little business! I will be updating you on my blog once my shop is open so you can see if my style suits you (I really hope you love it!).

I've also set myself a few small goals to achieve by the end of the year as posts like this often remind me of the direction I need to head in whether thats personal goals or career goals, so here we go!

Increase My Fitness Game -
I absolutely love working out, but I'm not the type that feels comfortable around others in a gym. I don't think there's anything wrong with working out at home as it's what I've been doing for years, but there's a part of me that just wants to push myself out of my comfort zone and work out at the gym and sort of get a routine going.

Try New Meals -
When I first when vegan a few years ago, I was constantly coming up with new meal ideas and getting inspiration from other food bloggers or on Instagram / pinterest. But for a few months now I feel like I've been eating the same meals near enough every day and I'm getting bored. I love cooking so much, so I don't really know where my lack of motivation to cook has come from, but I am determined to pick myself up again and start coming up with new ideas, I would also love to share these with you guys!

Document More Adventures -
I went through a phase a few years ago where I used to take photos of near enough anything and everything when I went out with family or friends, but now I feel like I'm never taking photos! I know a lot of people just like to live in the moment, but there's something so warming about looking back at old photos and reminiscing on old memories. So I'm going to make it a habit to document more adventures whether that's by myself or with my family, friends or my lovely boyfriend.

Watch More Musicals -
Musicals are one of my favourite things in the entire world and I've seen quite a few within the past couple of years. I haven't got any booked so far for this year, but I would absolutely love to see Hamilton and Les Mis again, maybe I'll also be able to persuade my boyfriend to go and see The Lion King with me ...

I'm really determined to make 2019 one of the best years of my life as the past two years have been terrible and I don't want another year to go by and feel the same way at the end of it. I'm really going to push further with my blog this year as it's something that brings me so much joy and I want to make something of myself from it and make my younger self proud.
