A Simple Mothers Day Gift Guide

With Mothers Day just around the corner, it can be overwhelming when it comes down to gifts. I know gifts aren't much compared to the company of your mum, but on this one special day you feel like she deserves the world, so buying a present can become a little tricky when you feel like it's just not enough.

Howeverrrr, I've recently come across a few items that I thought would be a cute little gift this mothers day to show a bit of appreciation to all the amazing mums out there. Hopefully something in this list jumps out at you and would be a perfect gift for your mum this mothers day!

Yankee Candle Sunday Brunch Collection* -
I was kindly gifted two candles from the new Spring Sunday Brunch collection and I just had to share them in this gift guide. There are four different candles in the collection that would all be perfect for the occasion, but as I received "Belgian Waffles" (surely the name is enough to make you think this scent is delicious) and "Floral Candy" I just had to recommend these the most. As someone who isn't a particular fan of floral scents, I was very surprised by how much I love Floral Candy. It's such a beautiful, sweet scent that reminds me of a perfume that I used to wear. My mum loved this candle, so I'm hoping to purchase the biggest version of it soon!

Perfume -
I feel like you can never go wrong with gifting a fragrance that you know someone will love, so why not treat your mum to her favourite? If you're stuck for suggestions, then sticking to classics like YSL Black Opium and Giorgio Armani Si  would make for a beautiful gift. Jo Malone scents are also heavenly, so I would highly recommend treating your mum to a luxurious fragrance from their wide collection. I wrote a post on my all time favourite scents which you can read here if you want more detail on some other fragrance ideas.

Face Masks & Other Skincare -
I was sent over a box from Masktime to share my thoughts with you (a full review will be another upcoming post), but I just had to share the February Glow Setter box* with you. With a beautiful, pink and rose scented theme I thought it fit the mothers day aesthetic perfectly. The box is full of nine different rose scented masks, which of course, is perfect for all the mums that like a pamper when they can. I have tried Masktime in the past and I couldn't recommend them enough as it gives you the chance to try out new skincare brands and treat your skin.

If you fancy buying something fancy in the skincare department, then Drunk Elephant may be the perfect solution. This brand has been massively hyped up in the beauty industry and although the prices may be a little steep, their products really do sound lovely.

Of course you could also spoil your mum to something simple like chocolates and flowers, which I know my mum is so grateful for every year, but if you wanted to push the boat out a little and find some new ideas then I believe all of these would be perfect. I also think mums love personal items to remember like scrapbooks, memory boxes and other sentimental things that they can look back on, so materialistic things aren't something to stress yourself out with.

How are you celebrating Mothers Day?

Love Always,
Shannon x
