These four-ingredient chocolate knots are so simple to make, using basic ingredients, but the outcome is incredibly delicious!
This recipe is vegan-friendly as long as you check the label on the premade puff pastry to make sure it doesn't contain egg or milk! Most UK supermarket own-brand puff pastry is vegan-friendly, as well as Jus Rol puff pastry.
My favourite dairy-free chocolate spread is from Rhythm 108 or Nature's Store, but there is also now vegan Nutella, which would work perfectly!

Why not also try my 4-ingredient cinnamon knots? I think they're perfect for the colder seasons, as I just love cinnamon sugar in any sweet treat this time of year!
- 4-INGREDIENT CHOCOLATE KNOTS -
You will need:
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 6 heaped tbsp vegan chocolate spread
- 2 tbsp dairy-free milk
- 2 tbsp icing sugar
Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. Roll out the puff pastry and slice it in half.
3. Add the chocolate spread to one side of the puff pastry, spreading it out a little, but not too far to the edge.
4. Place the other half of the puff pastry on top.
5. Use a pizza cutter or a sharp knife to slice the pastry into 6 or 7 strips.
6. To make the knots, simply twist the puff pastry from both ends and roll one side down to the other, tucking the end underneath.
7. Place the knots on the baking tray and brush them with the oat milk.
8. Place the baking tray in the oven for 20 minutes or until the pastry is golden.
9. Allow the knots to cool before dusting with icing sugar and enjoying!
