6 Ingredient Banana Bread Bars | Vegan


If you need some weekend baking inspiration, then you’ve got to try these banana bread bars! they only need 6 ingredients (+2 optional ingredients) and 25 minutes of baking.

These taste just like banana bread, but without as many ingredients!


You will need:

- 3 bananas
- 1/3 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1/4 cup agave syrup
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup oat flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt, optional
- 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips

Method -

1. Preheat the oven to 180C and line a square baking tin with parchment paper.
2. Mash the bananas in a bowl.
3. Add the smooth peanut butter, agave syrup and vanilla extract and mix.
4. Add the oat flour, baking powder and salt and mix until well combined.
5. Fold the dark chocolate chips into the mixture.
6. Pour the mixture into the baking tin, sprinkle some more chocolate chips on top and bake for 25 minutes or until a skewer poked through the middle comes out clean.
7. Allow to cool before cutting into 9 squares.
